This was from Sunday's lunch, we are trying to let Wyatt learn to feed himself. Too often I end up feeding him myself so I don't have to clean up the mess. So here is what happens when I let him do it, but he's gotta learn right? Any suggestions or this the only way??

I always tried to give my kids kind of nonmessy foods at first-like maybe buttered noodles, or peas. Sometimes you just have to let them get messy. It sure is cute when it's not your baby!
sorry... pretty much just the way it is. i did however put an old shower curtain on the floor/under the chair and sounds gross maybe, but just did a 'rough' wipe down of it (at night or after the messiest meal) for just normal day stuff. when guest came over i moved it. but that way i wasn't on my hands and knees 3x a day! now with micah i couldn't leave it all day bec. of nate, so i just put an old towel and shook it clean then every couple of days washed it and it made life a tiny bit easier ;)
ps--he is so adorable!! so glad our boys are the same age... they'll be good buddies one day!
